Nice focus on that wood duck Yves. At first glance it does look like he is resting on a sea serpent. Lots of texture in the water and the islands add nice interest to the composition as well as provide a safe haven for the duck. Good shooting and story.
Yes, that compo attracted my eye. With my imagination writing a little story was a real pleasure. By the way - Since I intend to post many many photos this summer, feel free not to comment on each one. By the way - After experiencing with the 2x teleconverter, I will not use it finaly.
Ok thx Yves, still looking forward to seeing your pics. Did you not care for the results when using the teleconverter or was it just too much of a close up
Too much of a close up and not necessary for the regular shots at regular range. (birds in bush neir by, macro on flowers, butterfly etc. The 2 worst problem is to be setup for bird in flight (1/1250 sec and more) because of the lost of light. Since F11 is the lower limit you need to push the ISO to 1600 or more (on a sunny sky) wich is bad for printed porter 22x28 in. The baddest is that all the shots are seriously too lighted (ugly) so I have to correct the light on post editing. My experimentation so far convience me that the 61 MP, the full frame and the hight quality of the lens allow to get the same result as the 2x by croping on a very small section of the photo. with a hi quality result without the 2x problems.
