What a Gem!
I was walking around our property, camera with macro lens in hand. I saw lots of bees around as the Fireweed was coming into bloom. Sitting there, watching and listening to them all, I saw a bright flash of colour and it was a Metallic Sweat Bee. These bees are such a joy to photograph, their metallic bodies shine so bright in the sun and I loved the contrast with the Fireweed.

Spring Milky Way
The sky wasn't perfectly dark, nor was it perfectly clear but it was good enough to get the first few shots of the spring and summer Milky Way.
