Each year in my home town and surrounding areas we seen an increeasing number of Grizzly bears visiting the island. In 6 years I have found and photographed 14 grizzly bears. This past spring we had a sow and two cubs soon the island. We also had a sow and three cubs of the year not far from my house. Getting images of those bears was very difficult. Mom was very camera shy as were her cubs. That's a good thing.
I always like seeing Grizzly Bears, Not a favourite for the locals but I enjoy seeing them. I often wonder if they winter here or migrate back to the mainland ?
Time will tell if we see the Sows and cubs this spring in the same areas

Bath Time

The warmer temperatures have opened up spots along the Nechako River and the Bald Eagles are taking advantage! They are gathering to bathe, fish and drink fresh water each afternoon. Makes for a delightful show!

Morning Reflection
The reflection of Mount Schaffer, tinged by glacier ground sediments in the fresh water of Lake O'Hara, appears suspended in time, like the mist lingering above it.
