Description
An awesome solar storm on May10/11 2024 created some of the best and most colorful aurora that could be seen world wide and into the lower southern states as far as Florida. The strength of the solar storm was rated as KP9 and G5, the highest ratings for a solar storm. This aurora had some nice pinkish and red colors along with a little blue color aurora. Blue aurora is very rare color and only happens during very strong and intense solar storms. There were also meteors and satellites streaking through the image as an added bonus...oh what a night! This image was taken at Gap Lake Alberta with Mount Lougheed as the prominent peak.
