Description
I enjoyed a recent opportunity to capture the winter beauty of Toronto's heralded Edwards Gardens after a fresh snowfall. As I walked its paths, I came upon this idyllic waterfall view, and instantly regretted not bringing my trusty tripod along! Undaunted, I decided to try capturing this beautiful scene handheld. Fortunately, my camera's sensor stabilization technology worked wonders. I'd already decided to develop the image in black and white, adding to the simplicity of the shot and drawing more attention to the long exposure water effect. My stroll back to the car afterwards seemed a little less chilly, as I felt my morning excursion bore fruit despite the season!
