UFOs over the Fraser Valley? Not quite!
These incredible, saucer-shaped clouds are called lenticular clouds — formed when moist air flows over the mountains and cools as it rises, creating standing wave patterns in the atmosphere.
Because of their smooth, layered “flying-saucer” look, they’re often mistaken for UFOs 👽.
They’re rare — usually seen only near mountain ranges under very specific wind and moisture conditions.
