I love it, Heather. It makes you wonder what happened to cause it. Great story telling with an unusual photo.
Thank you so much for you comment Jane. Trees like this are a puzzle aren't they and the divide in this one is quite extreme. Considering how tall it's getting I wonder how long it can carry on, but will definitely be checking back to see come spring.
So nice that you saw the meaningful interest of the scene Heather. The pale sky and bright yellow trees gives a pretty good spark to the photo. I could write few pages about the broken tree that decided not to die but made the best available life out of the situation. Not a hazard that the road separate the abnormal pine tree from a normal pair of trees that mirror it. Super shot Heather.
Thank you Yves for your much appreciated comment. I had to back up a bit to get this photo and I didn't want to lose sight of the pair down the road as I only had my long lens with me. It turned out better than expected so this will be printed and go on my wall.
That is a very beautiful and interesting landscape Heather. Nice storyline as well. What a cool pine tree and it looks to be very healthy. I agree with you the fall colours and rolling hills sure do make the pine tree stand out. Lovely composition and thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your much appreciated comment Debra. Thanks for mentioning that they're pine trees btw. I thought the pair of trees down the road added a nice perspective to the view, too. It's always beautiful and peaceful up here, a great place to get away from it all :)
