I love how the ripples frame him here, it makes for such a unique and beautiful image, Yves. That was a great find and you captured him perfectly.

Thanks Heather. One of those nice gift from Mother nature. Another moment to remember.

this is such an amazing shot Yves. So clear and uncluttered and yet reveals the actions of this guy. Very well done

Thanks Clifford. This is a very unusual shot and a cool one.

I agree with Debra. Really cool shot.

Yves Langlois

Thanks

Debra Plett

Cool shot Yves. I like the simplicity of the shot and that you captured the snake facing you. As well all the rippling in the water.

Yves Langlois

Thank you Debra. On an enlarge scale the snake is beautyful but I love the ripples he does to move forward.

Description
I use to make a 20 minutes stop at the Drummond dam on the Magog river in Sherbrooke. I take place on a small dock used by the kayackist for portage. So I was standing there watching for any interesting event to photograph. This small snake (look big on the photo but it's not) was heading to the dock. He was pretty close when he noticed I was there and stop in a panic. I was surprise to see that a snake can keep afloat without waving but he did float there doing no moves for a minute. He finaly decided to change course and swim to the river bank near the dock. It was a pretty cool encounter.
