Description
Barrows Goldeneyes will sometimes lay their eggs in nests of other cavity-nesting ducks. The young ducklings are highly independent and require little parental care. This is the second unattended brood of this particular species of ducks I have observed this year on different ponds and they were doing just fine on their own!
