Those small town prairie scenes are so filled with history. You have captured and narrated thie story of Skiff very nicely Clifford.

Thank you Debra

Thank you so much for your great photo documentary about the past times of that glorious province of Canada. I feel the same as Heather but I would never be able to write it so well. Love the choice of framing you took. The road that curved to the right and disapear. The grain elevator and human life that follow the same patern. That compo sure tell about disapearing. Very well done. (georgeous lighting on the elevator)

Thank you Yves, much appreciated

Heather Mellon

Very nice composition and perspective on this remarkable grain elevator Clifford. There aren't many of them left and it's too bad that so many points of interest from that era have disappeared from the landscape. The lonely vibes in this shot reflect that so well.

Clifford Dupuis

Thank you Heather for your kind words

Description
Many small prairie towns similar to this one now dot the skyline reminiscent of their once bustling days. Skiff is no exception, once a thriving farm community with 3 grain elevators it is now all but a ghost town with only this ex-Parish & Heimbecker elevator still standing along the tracks with only a few residents still calling it home. The rail siding is now used for storage of rail cars.
