Beautiful water shot Yves. The soft shimmer of the ripples adds an interesting element to the image together with the reflections of the fallen tree. The sandpiper came along at just the right time too.

Thank you for the nice comments Heather. Glad you like the scenery too. The original shot is much larger and the sandpiper is barely visible. Cropping to frame my choice of scenery made the bird just enough visible to be an add-on.

I love the trees reflection in the rippled water. The bleached trunk of the tree draws my eye through the image. How cool is that that the sandpiper flew into the frame. Maybe he is nesting in the clump of downed trees. Cool shot Yves.

Thank you for the nice comments Debra. This very far away scenery needed heavy croping. There is a bird standing on the log to the left of the tree. Unfortunately it is impossible to crop enough to identify it. By the way, I had my first safary of the season with the 400mm. yesterday.

Description
I found that scenery interesting and decide to capture its beauty. While doing the shot a sandpiper appear in the bottom, heading to the dead tree.
