Thank you so much, Jeff. There were all kinds of birds and a lot more swans across the lake that we can't see here. I drove by the lake yesterday and they were all gone after we had a couple of really frosty nights.

Lovey landscape Heather. This image really shows the size difference between swans and geese. Great lighting and composition. The swans stand out nicely on the vibrant blue water. In my area you might see one or two swans but I have never been lucky enough to see this many. Great shooting.

Thank you Debra, much appreciated. The size difference really shows when you see them side by side. The chance to see so many of them together is always exciting and an experience I would never want to miss. It's one of the things I love best about autumn and spring time too.

Thank you so much, Yves. Great to know you're seeing these swans in your area too.. they're so beautiful to watch in flight. This is a pretty lake and the view around it is really nice. I venture out that way as often as possible to see the birds, sometimes a deer or moose, and just to enjoy the view too.

You really got the perfect rich blue to compliment the virginal white trumpeters. Since there is no more colours in the background it is easy to focus on the shining white birds. Some are actualy crossing my region too. Very pleasant scenery to look at.

Description
A view of some Trumpeter Swans, Canada Geese and numerous other water birds that were taking a rest break on their journey southward. This the lake most of the migrating birds that fly across this region seem to prefer for their autumn pit stop each year.
