Description
The mysterious stone figures known as Inuksuit can be found throughout the arctic region of North America. They are monuments made of unworked stones that are used by the Inuit for communication and survival. The traditional meaning of Inukshuk is "someone was here " or " You are on the right path " .
People (paticularly travellers) in more southern climes have come to admire and respect this Inuit symbol and have erected many of them along our highways and other traveled routes.
