Short-eared Owl in Flight

Description

A Short-eared Owl flying low over open grassland while hunting. These owls are often seen at dusk patrolling fields and coastal meadows as they search for small mammals. This image was captured as the owl flew directly toward the camera during its evening hunt. Photographed with a Sony A7R III and Sony 200–600mm lens.
