Description
Every time I find myself visiting one of the local lakes, ponds, or wetlands in Ottawa during the warmer months, I always keep my eye out for turtles basking in the sun. I typically see painted turtles congregating together on logs or rocks, but this one opted for some solitude and caught my attention. I almost didn’t notice it; it blended into its surroundings and was small. Just a tiny turtle in a great big world.
