Wow! I am so excited for you that you captured an Osprey diving for food. Wonderful shot Yves. It looks like this is a juvenile Osprey that may be why you felt he was practising. Sorry for the late response I have been out of town.

Yves Langlois

Thank you so much for the explanation about the juvenile practicing the diving action. I greatly appreciate each comment but I insist that you should never feel obliged to make one.

Debra Plett

No worries Yves, I always enjoy your photographs and nature in action.

Jane LeBlanc

Those flight shots are tricky....well done, Yves.

Yves Langlois

Thank you Jane. The 2x converter makes it just a little bit more tricky but I insist to find how to use it properly. Lot of practice and learning this summer but I am a lot better now than at the beguining of the season.

Heather Mellon

Beautiful wing shot and capture of his attempt to catch a fish. I love the series and how it shows the challenges these birds face Well done, Yves.

Yves Langlois

Thanks you for the nice comments Heather. It's been a very exciting photo ops.

Clifford Dupuis

Yves Langlois

Thank you very much Clifford

Description
The osprey came in from the left and start circling very low over the Magog river at the Drummond dam in Sherbrooke. The water level on the river was quite high and may be too dirty for him to see through. It look to me that he made some blind dives, hoping for a miracle.
