Description
I had been taking photographs of short-eared owls for nearly two hours. As the sun had set and it was dark, I decided to call it a day. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I spotted a short-eared owl perched on a fence post next to the road I was driving on. I quickly adjusted the camera settings, increasing the ISO and reducing the shutter speed to allow more light into the camera. The owl hovered in the air for a while before swooping down on its prey.
