Description
My storm chasing partner and I normally plan a fall colours trip in southern Alberta, get some waterfalls, some foliage and if we're lucky some wildlife.
We decided to change our plans and head up the Icefields parkway to see if we would encounter bears. Unfortunately on the way up we were hit by the seasons first snowfall and were unable to capture landscapes let alone see any wildlife.
Fortunately the next day when we continued our adventure we spotted this beautiful Grey Jay on the side of the Davey Thompson highway.
I pulled out my 600mm and am happy to say that this is one of the best wildlife shots I've managed to capture as a landscape guy.
