Thank you very much for your comment Yves, always appreciated. This was such an unexpected encounter but it's one I will remember too. There was a very thin layer of cloud cover together with high winds and it was later in the day so that might explain the sky.
I love this image Heather, so much depth to the very interesting composition. Looks like the ladies are out numbered by the bucks up on the ridge. Did you stay a bit to see if a chase ensued. Beautiful capture Heather.
