Nice composition Heather. I like this opposition between the humanized nature (the park) and the wild nature at the back. The tall trees drawing the transition line. Serene feeling out of it.

Thank you for your comment Yves, always appreciated. This is one of my favorite pit stops in this area, it is very beautiful and serene as you stated. It's a great place for a picnic and to enjoy the view or walk down to the river to do some exploring.

You have captured the beauty of fall and the overall serenity of the location very nicely in this shot Heather. I really like how you used the foreground trees as an opening to view the background landscape. Lovely shot.

Not sure what happened to my replies on this one.. but as always your comment is much appreciated Debra. The see through view caught my eye right away as we approached this little park, together with the carpet of fallen maple leaves which I thought were especially beautiful that day as they lay undisturbed by the wind.

Description
It was the perfect day for a picnic at the Maples in Dunvegan, AB. The golden colours of autumn were at their peak and the view across the Peace River was spectacular.
