Awesome capture Heather. It deserves a frame. In expand mode the trees and clouds really show off the stunning composition. It almost looks like the lightning hit down.
Thank you so much Debra, always appreciated. I think that bolt did hit because it caused quite a rumble. I went inside shortly after when the storm got too close for comfort. I like how this strike lit up the clouds and sky through the trees, it was an awesome sight to see.

Beautyful strike of lightening Heather. Very sharp and the line of backlight trees is interesting. Well done. I try those night shots once in a while but never succeed so far.
Thank you so much Yves, always appreciated. I've only had limited success in the past myself but if the lightning bolts come steadily enough the odds go up quite a bit for getting the shot you're after. That's when I get my camera out..
