Both shots are simply gorgeous Heather. I am glad that you had this opportunity to photograph the couple. Looking forward to seeing more shots of the pair.

Thank you Debra, always appreciated. I'm hoping there will be more opportunities to share if I get lucky. This was a good start anyway :)

Clifford Dupuis

What a great shot and as Yves says the lighting is spot on. Great composition also

Thank you Clifford, always appreciated. I recall at the time just trying to keep up with her movements and fit her into the frame but it's the type of photography I like best.

Yves Langlois

Very nice close-up of that iconic bird. The lighting is just perfect on her and the spot on focus makes the colored head very stricking. Well done.Heather.

Thank you Yves, much appreciated. It was getting a little late for taking photos but when an opportunity like this comes along a person has no other choice but to try for the best shots they can get. That bit of sunlight made all the difference.

It's not often I get an opportunity for such a close-up capture of a Trumpeter Swan but this one just kept swimming toward the dock and parked herself in front of me. It was a magical moment. This pair nests on the lake so hopefully there will be more photo opportunities to come.
