The Pine Grosbeck is one of my favourite birds and you have captured it beautifully.

Thank you very much Jenny. They're certainly one of my favorite birds too. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Wow beautiful composition Heather. Nice sharp focus on the fluffed up Grosbeak and I love how he stands out so nicely against the winter landscape. Nicely captured.

Thank you very much Debra, I was lucky to get this capture because he sure didn't stay long. I haven't seen him again but the group will probably show up later looking for the black ash seeds they love.

Description
A colorful Pine Grosbeak adds colour and beauty to the winter landscape on a very chilly day. They are birds of the boreal forest regions who rarely migrate far from their home territory except in search of food. They tend to live and nest in spruce forests not pines.
