Description
My husband mentioned that he and our daughter had seen a Great Blue Heron attempt to land at a small pond along Old King Road, Bolton, Ontario. I went down the day after with my camera and the heron flew in, landing on tree at the end of the pond. There were a pair of geese and a pair of duck in the small open area of the water surrounded by ice, so the heron landed in a tall tree at the end of the pond. I was able to catch a photo of the heron in the tree and it's take off. The Humber River winds its way through the downtown area of Bolton and the heron visits many of the locations along the river.
