Thank you Debra and fortunately there are several benches around this scene where one can sit for awhile and take it in. It is restful.

Description
This gem of watery beauty is located not too far away from our front door - it's but a short walk along a woodland path, accompanied at this time of year by small groups of ducks hoping for a handout (I often give in). The dam provides a means of level control in a popular boating and recreation area - Kearney Lake.
