Description
Autumn is drawing to a close, and the forecast winds and rain to the next 24 hours may bring the end a lot nearer. But today, and for the past few weeks, the colour displays has been spectacular. Here, floating blithely on still, dark waters are some aspen, birch, beech and splendid red maple leaves, all punctuated by the pale gold of discarded pine needles. A breeze stirred through the boughs of the aspen tree I was standing under while taking this shot - I was soon enveloped in a heavy shower of yellow leaves. Wonderful!
