Description

Anas platyrhynchos - Mallard

The marsh is just starting to freeze over and a light snowfall turned to slush on the thin ice. This pair of Mallards have spent most of their day wandering about the marsh through cattails and brush. Sooner or later they will find open water at the other end of the marsh where the rest of the flock is swimming.
