Description
Not every eagle hunts from high above. Some develop keen fishing skills close to the source. Perhaps learning from the many grizzlies that frequently feed in these waters.
This capture stood out to me not only because of the bird's magnificent wingspan, but the story of survival it told me. Here we can see this juvenile bald eagle walking delicately along the log and studying the water below, as the sockeye salmon battle their way up the mouth of the river to spawn.
