Description
An immature leucistic Bald Eagle defending her perch from a nearby juvenile. This eagle is a 3rd year female, she is a huge bird & not afraid to take on any other eagle. We saw her last year as well but her feathers have lightened even more as she is maturing. Leucism can vary from speckled light feathers to all light plumage. It will be interesting to see her in the next few years if she migrates back to the area.
