Description
Sitting some six feet away where the kiwi vine wrapped around the grapevine is the same female Rufous hummingbird who has shown up in late May and "owned the backyard" for two weeks (and had another exciting spat around the plum tree with the previous owner, an Anna's male). After spending the afternoon at the nectar feeders, she decided to visit her favourite flowers again. this little lady has no personal space issues--she fed from the Fragrant Honeysuckle, which was just a foot away from me!
