About Me

Where I Walk - Photography .... I recently won The 2023 Faces Magazine Award: Voted Ottawa's Best Landscape Photographer and my name is featured in their Magazine. Canadian Geographic Magazine did recently did an article in July 17, 2023 and my photo of Ottawa's Parliament Bldgs was Featured with the article. (now that was a complete shock and put a huge smile on my face) Thank you for that and to Luke Faulks for your article!! I'm just a simple kind of guy who's experienced a lot of things in my life and I love taking sunset photos and anything outdoors. I started in the mid 80s taking photos and slowly took things more seriously when I moved to Vancouver, in the 90s. There's an interesting story here, but my first paying gig was nothing to do with sunsets, mind you, it was outdoors though. I was lucky to be the photographer for The Miss Hawaiian Tropic Pageant and some local models...aaah good times. When I moved back to Ottawa, my home town, I continued on shooting, focusing more on sunsets and outdoors and eventually wildlife etc. I sent in a photo one day to the local TV station CBC News Ottawa and it was featured on TV that night and from that, things stared to take off. Many of my photos have been featured on CBC TV News Ottawa and CBC Our Ottawa, thanks to Ian Black, Terri Loretto, Celeste Decaire and Vikta Paulo. Henry's Camera has many of my photos that they will be featuring on their website. I'm a featured Photographer on The StormHour website in the UK (Macclesfield, Cheshire) and have many photos featured on their monthly competitions, thanks to Mark Boardman... I kind of put Ottawa on their map now. I'm lucky to have our former Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson and other celebrities follow me on Twitter & Instagram... (they have my Limited Edition Calendars) I hope to do a book one day and sell it at our local Chapters and to whoever else would like a copy. ​ You can add your name to my mailing list (whereiwalk.ca) and never miss a new photo posted and any sales on photos and upcoming shows.
