Adventurer, environmentalist, conservationist and photographer, a native son of Alberta, Canada, residing in BC for the last thirty years. I traded in my horse for ships specializing in eco-tourism and marine conservation around the world. My early career saw me as a TV graphic/Visual FX artist creating opening titles for shows like David Attenborough’s 'Wildlife on One' and award-winning FX in shows like Stargate SG1 and Angels & Demons. Leaving the film career behind in 2010 I embarked on a journey to explore his love of the natural world, combining a passion for the polar regions and conservation, spending six seasons in the Ross Sea using my photography to document illegal fishing activities. My marine guiding career truly began in 2018 on the coast of British Columbia and beyond, venturing to the high Arctic, guiding in Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland for two seasons and sub-Arctic wilds of Churchill, Manitoba for polar bears. But it is truly Antarctica and the sub-Antarctic that keep’s pulling me back year after year, now in my sixth season guiding in the Falklands, South Georgia and Peninsula, I consider the beauty and abundance of wildlife in these regions beyond measure. As a photographer I'm privileged to have been published in such publications as Canadian Geographic ( a runner up 2022 Wildlife Photographer of the Year), The New York Times and Oceanographic magazine to name a few and of late is now a published National Geographic photographer. When not guiding, I spend my time along the British Columbia coastline - sitting in a creek watching bears fish for salmon or atop a mountain downhill skiing in winter, and in the summer, straddled across my adventure bike heading off into the great wild yonder
