Description
The trumpeter, North America’s largest native waterfowl, is enveloped in more than 5,000 neatly placed, gleaming white feathers, a stark contrast to its black beak. The 200-plus swans call the shores of LaSalle Park home from November to March before making the short migration back to Wye Marsh near Midland, Kirkland Lake or North Bay to enjoy cooler climates for the summer.
