Thank-you Urszula and Christine....your comments are greatly appreciated. And I agree this web site is painfully slow much of the time, unfortunately....there is no real improvement in that respect over the previous CG site in my opinion.

A male Wood Duck in its brilliant breeding plumage is one of the most striking species of waterfowl we get to see. During the mid summer to mid autumn, males can look quite drab as they go through their plumage moult, but by December they are looking irresistible. This photo was taken in December a couple of years ago.
