Oh, makes me want to get into 'my wetlands' again. Did you have to wear 'hip waders'? Fabulous capture! Even in the dry weather this year, I found I would sink in the muck. Love this shot...!

This is a slightly cropped version of an image I posted shortly before the site changed over. It is of a mossy upturned Silver Maple tree root in one of the sloughs of Rondeau Provincial Park, taken in the late afternoon of a hazy sunny day in the very early spring of 2012.
