Description
It was taken in January at Centennial Beach, Boundary
Bay in South Delta BC. I was out for a walk with my dog, my D70 and my,
then, new Tamaron 200-500 lens. Being a clear crisp day, lighting was a
premium with sunlight being reflected up from snow and ice to minimize
shadows. I was trying to get a nice shot of the hawk sat on the perch by
himself when the other one came in to try and take the perch away, it was a
lucky shot and I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
The birds are Northern Harrier Hawks, and the original name for the shot was
going to be "when Harry met Harry"
