Within Ontario’s forests, this Long-eared Owl remains alert and still, observing its surroundings without taking flight. Well-hidden in the darkness of the tree and protected by surrounding branches, it relies on habitat over active hunting. Protecting these spaces allows wildlife to exist quietly, often unseen.
