Description
Mountain goats are far larger and tougher than they often appear from a distance. Adult males can weigh 250–300 pounds, females around 180–200 pounds, all supported by compact, powerful frames built for survival. They live in some of the most unforgiving terrain in North America — steep alpine cliffs, rocky escarpments, and high-elevation grasslands where balance means everything and one misstep can be fatal.
