Description
A trumpeter swan airs out its wings after a preening session. The swan was among a flock of 18 in Carleton Place, Ontario that were swimming, feeding and sleeping along a path on the Mississippi River. The swans ranged from juveniles to adults. Trumpeter swans flap their wings for several reasons, but in this case, this swan was resetting its feathers following its grooming session.
