I love the texture of the driftwood and the blurred background which focuses your eye on the bird. Lovely

Thank you Jane. I had in mind to photograh that nice driftwood for long. The little bird was the opportunity.

Thank you Clifford

Lovely composition Yves. I am very much a fan of how driftwood or decaying wood can elevate an image. Great lighting with lots of interest. Nicely done.

Yves Langlois

So glad that you appreciate the beautyness of driftwood. Thank you so much.

Heather Mellon

He gave you a great pose and I like how well he stands out here against the textures of the log where the sun hit it just right. Nice shot, Yves.

Yves Langlois

Thanks for the nice comments Heather. I love that shot for the shape, colours and texture of the beautyful (and well lighted) roten log. For me this is more an artistic picture. I know that log for long but I was waiting for a bird or big dragonfly to complete the picture.

Description
The little sparrow was walking along the edge of the water looking for insects. Two feets in front was a nicely rotten log. I didn't expect the bird to jump on the log but I got ready for a shot. He did jumped and kept walking the log looking for food.
