These ladies are great hunters and your timing was perfect on this shot, Yves. Very nice detail in this image.. the female red-winged blackbirds are one of my favorite birds too. They work so hard to raise their young and I think they're very photogenic too.

Agree with you all the way Heather. I am sure all those bird mothers work hard. It is just that it is easier to look and admire the blackbird one.
