Thx Nina

I almost missed this shot.. it has some great elements in it that I especially like in a photo. He's such a happy looking camper perched on the fence post and sharing his song. Very nice pov and composition.. he stands out beautifully here against the clear sky with the tall grasses beneath him. Great shot Debra.

Debra Plett

Thanks very much Heather. I should have tried to move in a bit closer but I didn’t feel like fighting off the wood ticks. Maybe that’s what the bird was singing about!

Love that shot Debra. Simplicity of the composition with the post, the wire and the grass flowing in the wind bring a good mood to the photo. A unique bird I would like to shoot. Like the colour tone and the striking orange of the bird.

Debra Plett

Thanks very much Yves. Yes I really like the simplicity and the flowing grass as well. These birds are down a road that I do not frequent very often. There was four of them flying from post to post enjoying the wind as well.

I love the focus on the bird and how the barbed wire separates the photo into thirds. Well done.

Debra Plett

Thanks very much Jane, somehow barbed wire can always add an interesting element to an 8mage.

Description
This Yellow-headed Black Bird was enjoying his post and calling out to his friends. It was a very windy day and his song really seemed to travel.
