Description
It really looks like this golden-mantled ground squirrel is signing "More, please? 🥺" More of what though? This particular squirrel was stuffing its cheeks with flowers, but they will also eat nuts, seeds, fruits, berries, mushrooms, pinecones, and more!
There were many of these squirrels running around Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, and as tempting as it is to interact with them, it is really for the best that we leave them be. This means not feeding them, or trying to pet them, and especially not trying to pick them up.
