Well done Yves, you certainly have perfected the close-up with the 400 lens. Terrific detail and showcased nicely atop the flower.

Yves Langlois

Thank you for your good appreciation Debra.

Remarkable detail in this close-up Yves.. and the colours are beautiful. I'm always amazed at the intricate detail on insects like this and you captured that beautifully here.

Yves Langlois

Almost any insect is amazing on a good close-up. It is my pleasure to show their beauty ( witch can't be seen with naked eye )

Jane LeBlanc

Another nice one. I take it this isn't a recent shot? Nice focus on the insect, uncluttered background, great light....well done.

Yves Langlois

Thanks Jane. This is a late summer shot. For a couple of reasons I do no photography in the cold weathers. Up to end of march-april I will show last summer shots. If ever the weather goes very mild I my present son winter shots. For me a good shot needs me to be merged with mother nature. Cold wheather just can't do that.

Description
Insects are numerous and hard to identify but there is someting more to the picture when they accompany a flower ( not to mention the chalenge of a 400 mm shot at close range )
