Great job on cropping the photo Yves. It's interesting to be able to view both of them. Thanks for sharing.

When I go safary for 3 hours my priority will always be to take that moment to to be close to Mother Nature, to energise. The less manipulation of the camera is the best.

Thanks Yves, yes I can see now exactly how you were able to capture the shot without scaring the bird. Nice cropping in the other photo.

This is through the 800mm lens, To the naked eye it was realy a little black dot in a tree very far away. Full frame 9504x4160 pixel. I don't use that setup of the camera very often because it is good only for very far subjects. Not good for regular bird shot on bushes nearby or close-up flowers and bee or landscape. The setup I like best is the strait 400mm with the 1.5 file format witch gives a photo equivalent to 600mm (6240x4160 pixels).

Description
Yesterday I presented a photo of a green heron explaining how far I was from the subject. This shot, taken few seconds before the one shown yesterday, shows the look of the original photo. This is taken through a 800mm lens (400 + 2X doubler). That's why heavy croping was needed to present the yesterday photo.
