Great Shot Debra. The concentration and posture is really nicely captured to compliment your story line.

Thanks ver much Clifford.

I love it, Debra. you captured the intensity of its expression and the feeling of movement....well done.

Debra Plett

Thank you very much Jane, your comments are always appreciated. When perched he had a pretty intense stare at the ravens so I figured it was only a matter of minutes before he took flight.

Heather Mellon

Spectacular shot.. you captured the motion perfectly. I love the composition, crisp detail and how well the eagle shows against the soft blue background sky. So well done Debra.

Debra Plett

Thank you very much for your kind feedback Heather. I tried getting a few shots while he was perched but there was way too many branches going through the head. So I waited a minute as it looked like he was going to swoop down and sure enough he obliged.

Yves Langlois

Colour tone of the sky is just perfect. Sharp focus giving nice details. The pose on that action shot is very nice Debra. I hope you are proud of that one. You sure are my specialist for that kind of shot.

It was a toss up between this image and another one with the wings spread. This image had better detail in the feathers. I added a bit of a vignette to bring more attention to the centre. I do think I am starting to get the hang of panning on a subject. Yes I quite like this shot Yves. And thank you very much for your very kind feedback, it is always appreciated.

Description
This bald eagle swooped down out of the tree he was perched in and flew above a few ravens feeding on carrion in hopes of dispersing the ravens so he could grab a bit of the deer meat. The plan worked.
