I love the clarity of detail in this shot Debra. You caught him in a great pose, looking very expressive and I like how you explain the scene in your narrative. This is a beautiful image.

Hi Heather, thanks again for your expert feedback it is very helpful and appreciated. The rut is now over so I don’t expect to be seeing these beautiful bucks again till next fall. The narrative just flows as I really get into the shot as it happens.

Debra Plett

Thank you Jane. I was quite a distance away but my movement still caught his attention.

Another great one Debra. With a lot of zooming the colours on his face is gorgeous. Very well done. Your story sure tells me you love nature enough to understand it.

Debra Plett

Thanks very much Yves. I have done a fair bit of reading on the White-tailed deer as well as my favourite bird the Osprey. I like to understand their habits and body language.

Jane LeBlanc

I love how you caught him with his ears up and alert. Nice.

Description
It was a very blustery day and this buck was in a bit of a panic trying to pick up the scent of a doe that was bedded down in the bush to the right of him about 800 feet away. At one point he was headed in the right direction and then he turned and could not catch the scent again.
