Beautyful bird nicely capture Heather. Looking at the mess I have no doubt it is there favorite place.

Thank you Yves. The Yellowlegs stick to the edge of the little dock for good reason.. it's the ducks that created the mess as they hang out there a lot. Good thing it's fenced off now too.

The image says it all and the narrative reinforced my first thought. Lots of nice detail and great focus Heather. Migration is such a wonderful time for photography.

Thank you Debra. This was a see through two sets of railings shot and I fiddled away with trying to get a good angle just long enough to catch one with its eyes shut. I tried a couple of times previously to get a clear view of them without any luck. Finally got it..

Description
A pair of Lesser Yellowlegs take a snooze break on the lower pier at Crystal Lake. It has become a popular resting spot for some of the birds who nest here each year.
