Very nice composition and detail Debra, love the eye contact too. She looks really healthy with a good thick coat which she will probably be needing now that winter has quite literally and officially arrived.

Thanks very much Heather. Most of the deer in the park appear healthy and strong right now. Hopefully winter isn’t to harsh on the deer and other wildlife this winter.

Jenny Stevens

Love the comp of this shot. I also particularly like the dark edges of her ears as it really makes her stand out against the background.

Debra Plett

Thanks very much Jenny, the darker accents seem to jump out a lot more when it is snowing like in this shot.

Clifford Dupuis

nice shot of this one in the natural environment. She certainly has her eye on you.

Debra Plett

Thanks very much Clifford appreciate the comment. The rut is over and it seems that all the bucks have disappeared.

Description
This doe was busy eating twigs and kicking the snow out of her way to get at some grass to eat. She lifted her head for a few seconds to make sure she was in no danger. She and the other doe appeared to be enjoying the morning snowfall.
