Beautiful composition Heather. You have framed the fluffy Jay nicely between the branches and the lighting makes the feathers and colours pop. Very nicely captured.

Thanks Debra, always appreciated. I waited for a while for this opportunity since most of them are pretty flighty. I guess the cold wind is what slowed this fellow down :)

Description
A blue jay waits patiently with feathers fluffed for his turn at the feeder on a chilly November day. The seed pods on this old black ash tree await the return of the pine grosbeaks when the weather turns colder.
