Jeff

you have a good one a grate shot of that big boy

Debra Plett

Thank you Jeff, he is the largest I have ever taken a picture of.

A beautiful and very challenging see through shot. Excellent detail on this handsome buck with the impressive antlers and he looks healthy too. I think deer have a keen sense about situations they can feel relatively safe in based on past experiences so it wouldn't surprise me if he remembers you and/or feels quite a bit more relaxed in your company. I would take that as a real compliment too. Very well done Debra!

He gave me lots of time to try and get a good shot of him. I did not want to over stay my welcome though so I took what I could get and left well enough alone. He does seem to be very secure with his surroundings though. Thanks Heather for your very kind feedback it is always appreciated.

Like very much that one. Kind of natural look. Day to day life in the fields. And you caught the antler beautyfuly. Recognize you, may be not, but you sure have a special link with nature that allow beautyful moments to be presented to you.

Debra Plett

Thank you for the kind comments Yves. I feel very calm and happy when presented with such an experience. Nature has a way of just slowing down life and allowing us to appreciate what is in front of us.

Clifford Dupuis

wow this is a great shot of this amazing buck in his environment. Great composition, well done

Debra Plett

Thank you very much Clifford for your comments they are always appreciated. I was so glad to see him as well. We had such a harsh winter last year and it seemed liked the white-tail sightings were down from last fall.

Description
This buck simply put is stunning. I believe he is the same old guy that I put up a few photos of last year. I believe he had a doe hidden in all that bush with him. At first I thought he was lying down but then he moved a bit and I realized the bush and grass where he stood was camouflaging just how mature he really is. It was touch to get a shot from a distance with all the bush between him and I. I glanced to my right and saw another average size buck running into the woods close to where the gentle giant was. The old buck sniffed the air and casually moved out of my view. He was not threatened by my presence at all, maybe he recognized me as well!!
